Guild Navigator, Dune

A conceptual sketch inspired by the mysterious creatures in Frank Herbert's "Dune" Saga. The Guild Navigators are strange human-like beings, used as tools for the Spacing Guild. Using their prescience, they are able to navigate starships through and across vast spaces of the galaxy with pinpoint accuracy. Their prescient power comes from a continuous intake of the Spice, Melange. Contained within glass tanks, the Guild Navigators swim through thick spice gas as they see images of space and time.
